Katkout Al Wadi is the commercial brand name for the group’s local poultry operations that comprises of two business entities forming a semi-vertically integrated system for the production of day-old-chicks (DOCs). The DOCs are the end result of Wadi Group's grandparent and parent breeding operations, which, since 1986, have provided Egyptian poultry growers with superior breeds of healthy broiler parents, commercial broiler, and layer chicks characterized by high immunity and production potential. Production has steadily grown from 1.5 million layer chicks in 1986 to more than 10 million in 2015, representing more than 30% of local market demand. Furthermore, the production of broiler chicks increased from three million in 1988 to surpass 90 million in 2015, representing 10% of local demand in 2015.

In 1986 Rula started its journey with 7,000 olive trees planted on 30 hectares of desert land along the Cairo- Alexandria Desert Road. Today, Rula has grown it’s operations to more than 2000 hectares of organic olive trees, grapes, fruits, and vegetables in addition to marine fish production. As a continuation to Rula’s success in applying modern and organic agricultural practices, Rula has impressively planted another 956 hectares of organic olive trees under the harshest and most challenging climate conditions of the rough desert of the Natroon depression in Egypt, known as Wadi El Natrun providing a variety of fresh produce to the local and international markets and endeavoring to place Egypt on the export map of agricultural products.

It successfully operates two state-of-the-art feed mills: one located in Nubareya specialized in producing commercial broiler feed with a production capacity of 1,500 metric tons per day. The second mill is located in Sadat City and provides commercial feed for commercial layers and broiler parents with a production capacity of 300 metric tons per day. A’laf Al Wadi holds a 15% share of the Egyptian feed market, 80% of which is directly sold to poultry growers and distributers, while the remaining 20% is used to feed the company’s own poultry flocks.

• 8-Cycle Feed (Commercial Broiler)
A’laf Al Wadi commenced its operations with the production of commercial feed for commercial broilers under the name 8-Cycle Feed, which helps farmers increase the traditional breeding cycle from six cycles to eight cycles per year. These two additional breeding cycles per year help farmers increase their annual productivity and profits.
• Golden Feed Meal (Commercial Layer and Broiler Parents)
Capitalizing on its expertise in commercial broiler feed, in 2011 A’laf Al Wadi launched another successful product under the name Golden Feed Meal to cater to commercial layers. The superior nutritive content of Golden Feed Meal enables poultry farmers to produce table eggs with tough shells that are uniform in size and color while improving flock growth rate.
• Super Balady (Native Breeds)
With growing demand for A’laf Al Wadi products due to poultry flocks’ unprecedented performance, the company launched its Super Balady feed for native breed poultry producers. Comprised of the highest quality ingredients, Super Balady provides farmers with the flexibility to cater to the unique nutritive requirements necessary to enhance the productivity of native breeds.

In closed environments, Tabreed reduces temperatures by 15-20 degrees Celsius, as it provides outstanding cooling and ventilation for hen houses, while helping layer and broiler flocks achieve ultimate performance. Tabreed allows poultry breeders to realize improved profitability by increasing the capacity of each ward by up to 25% while maintaining standard health requirements.

Contact usNile Storage and Stevedoring Company (NSSC), a joint project between Wadi Group and MedSofts, is considered the largest river grain port facility terminal in the MENA region. Offering the unprecedented floating discharge services for grain, oilseeds, and soft commodities in Egypt, NSSC boosts Egypt’s Alexandria Port’s storage and stevedoring capacity by 22%, providing customers with enhanced speed and efficiency owing to the superior capacity of the floating discharge terminal. Featuring a versatile discharge facility, capable of receiving two different types of grains and discharging 12 different receivers simultaneously, NSCC has a discharge capacity of 1200 ton/hour. It also features 17 22 modern sealed silos and four flat stores, with the capacity to store 144,000 160,000 tons of all types of grain.
NSSC plays a vital role in maximizing the utilization of the Nile River, as a vital lifeline for the transportation of various cargos from Lower to Upper Egypt and vice versa. River transport has a greater capacity to transfer goods, compared to road transport, while reducing road damage, accident rates, and is more environmentally friendly. Hence NSSC has succeeded to make grain handling logistics as safe and as efficient as can be.

With a mission to provide cost-effective, world class ground transport across Egypt, Tawseel employs 100 qualified personnel to maintain, manage and operate its fleet of 20 trucks, fully equipped with efficient delivery systems for bagged bulk and containerized hauling using modular container systems. During the first phase of operation, the company is providing transport services for Wadi Group’s various business units.
All Tawseel drivers are required to undergo rigorous driving and road safety courses, in addition to equipment and technology evaluations on a regular basis to ensure the wellbeing and timely delivery of cargo. All Tawseel trucks are equipped with cutting-edge ground transport technology, including GPS monitoring systems, to ensure the security and efficiency of deliveries.
